THE JOURNEY
Perpetual blue skies. Millions of snowflakes fluttering to the beat of
your heart. It's the details that move the mind and stir the soul. Details like 400 inches
of annual snowfall or 3 mountains with lots of elbow room. Lift lines are basically
non-existent here. The skiing and riding is the ultimate experience.
Explore the backcountry on snowshoes or take a relaxing sleigh ride. The choice, like Big Sky itself, is all yours.
You're getting away to the mountains. You've already pictured it in your mind, but you haven't decided which
mountains. They have to be grand, awe-inspiring, wide-open and glistening under a big blue sky. Sounds like
Big Sky, Montana. We're one of the last places in the Rocky Mountain West that remains uncrowded and surrounded
by vast regions of unspoiled wild lands. Can you picture it?
Big Jumps. Big Pipe. Big Air. Big Sky.
Hey there boys and girls.
Montana State Snowboard and Ski Championships are over and the sun is out.
Its park season in Big Sky Country.
Explorer Park is still the spot for newbies and those cutting their teeth on
new tricks. Remember Bruce Spingsteen didn't become "The Boss" overnight so get to Explorer and
add some alley oop 270's to your bog o' tricks.
Swifty Park is no longer like the Death Star. Its construction is complete
and its impenetrable to Rebel Attacks. There are nine jumps perfectly spaced to throw 5's and
7's. Or perhaps, three 5's, three 3's and three 7's. Mix it up, the possibilities are endless.
You can also just grab your s-board or skis and give it a little poke. They've also got 8 jibs,
so step up and try some switch front boards and remember sometimes you gotta pay the cost to be
the boss, oh and use the force.
And new on Ambush Park, the one park built by Savron to rule them all. Upper
Ambush still has two 30 foot jumps and an added a mean barrel bonk. For those willing to
literally step out of the metaphorical box, a slick new butter pad. Take it easy and do a ride
by to scope them out before hucking your meat, remember Ambush is our Black Diamond Park. After
stomping your landings and riding away strong, hit the triple rail line, then choose between the
good ol' pipe or throw a 3 to front 3 off the double jump line. Skiers, remember, back to back
3's only count if you spin em both ways.
Bruce and Lance's Loyal Servants
Be sure to stop by and talk to the crew at the park if you have questions or
suggestions. Also, be sure to check out the events schedule if competition is in your blood.
Tubing Park
After the slopes close, the lights come on and the Tubing Park springs to life.
The Tubing Park - located at the base of Mr. K - debuted during the 2006-2007 winter season and
became an instant "must-do" for many guests. After all, sledding is the quintessential winter
sport and a great way to bring the whole family together on your Big Sky ski vacation. An evening
of family fun is just a magic carpet ride away! For your convenience, tickets are available at
Big Sky Sports and the ticket sales window.
RENTALS & LESSONS
Skis, boots, bindings, poles, basic sport packages $18.00 per day. Snowboarding
